20 Fall Pumpkin Activities for ages 2-5

With Fall comes beautiful Pumpkins. My children and I love playing, baking, and creating with pumpkins. The smell of them when they are uncooked fills the air and you know it’s fall. The feel of insides gushing through your fingers as you squish their insides in your hand. The taste of the pumpkin seeds after seasoning and baking in the oven on low. Pumpkins provide so much delight to the senses and they are a classic staple of Fall here in Midwest America.

When I was looking for ideas to do with my girls for fall I automatically started to hunt for pumpkin activities, and boy did I find them. Here is a list of some of my blogger friends and I pumpkin activities that we have been able to enjoy with our kids. All of these are hands-on activities and can provide your child with lots of fun.

20+ Fall Leaf Crafts for Ages 2-5

Fall is here, Fall is here! We love Fall over here and one aspect in particular that we enjoy is the changing of the leaves. The girls enjoy going on walks In the crisp air with baskets and picking up leaves. Sometimes the problem for me is what to do with all the leaves that they find. Well, this year I asked around for a little inspiration and, boy do I feel inspired after reading through these wonderful crafts.

As you know I try to keep all crafts that I share budget friendly. So all of these are good to do if you are working with a small budget. Not all of these crafts use real leaves or uses leaves at all.

I ask that you let your child help with the making of this play dough so they can get a feel for how they really like it because they are the ones who will be using it the most, not you.

Halloween Bath Time Painting

Bath Time Pumpkin Painting

During the toddler years, we spend lots of time getting messy with lots of painting activities for toddlers and I must say that most of our messy play is during bath time. Playing during bath time serves more than one purpose. We learn, get creative and just have plain ole fun all while in the tub.

Fall Leaf Number Words

#Playful Preschool Learning Number Words with Fall Colored Leaves

This week is all about Fall Colors and we enjoyed working with while learning about Fall and Fall Colors. We talked about why the leaves change color during the fall, the temperature change, and more. Right now our leaves are still pretty much green with some hints of yellow for the most part, but Fro Baby does know that the leaves change colors. Since we don’t have any fallen color changed leaves, the foam ones that I found at the Dollar General are going to come in handy for what I want to do. With a little modification of my activity, I opened it up for me to introduce something new but not so new to Fro Baby. Number Words!
